Leeds boss Daniel Farke wary of ‘brave’ Millwall side ahead of FA Cup clash
BY MITCHELL HALL
Leeds boss Daniel Farke has talked about his respect for Alex Neil and his high-intensity style ahead of their FA Cup clash tomorrow.
Millwall enter the game on a three-match winning streak in the Championship and will hope to carry that form into the cup, having beaten Dagenham and Redbridge 3-0 in the last round.
Leeds are five points clear at the top of the Championship and reached the fourth round by edging past Harrogate Town via a 1-0 home win in the last round.
Leeds enter the contest as favourites, having gone unbeaten in their last 14 games and having emphatically trounced Cardiff City 7-0 at Elland Road last Saturday.
Farke told the media: “I am full of respect for Alex and what he has done during his career. It is always difficult to play against his sides.
“His teams are always competitive, with intensity. They always play on the front foot and are brave, and don’t waste much time in order to prepare for their attacks.
“I am also pretty aware it will be a difficult side, this is definitely not a side that will come to Elland Road in fear, his side always plays bravely.
“For that we are ready and prepared for another tough challenge and we have to be there with a really good, concentrated and focused performance in order to have the chance to go through into the next round.”
