Three teens charged over shooting of 17-year-old in Croydon

Police have charged three teenagers over a shooting in Croydon which left a 17-year-old boy with life-changing injuries.

At around 7.40pm on Monday, February 10, officers responded to reports of a shooting in Park Street.

When they arrived, they found the victim, who had been shot in the leg.

Three teenagers were arrested on Tuesday and Thursday of last week, and later charged.

Dontae Dillon, 19, of Platinum Way, Burgess Hill, was charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm.

A 16-year-old boy from Burgess Hill, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with the same offences.

A 15-year-old boy from Croydon, who also cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with attempted murder.

The 15-year-old boy appeared before Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday. Dillon and the 16-year-old boy appeared before the same court on Saturday.

All three will appear at the Old Bailey on Thursday, March 13.
