Changes don’t hamper Fulham as they make it three successive Premier League away wins
Fulham won three consecutive away Premier League matches for just the second time, last doing so under Roy Hodgson in 2008, with a
2-1 victory at Wolves on Tuesday.
The Whites struck early in each half with Ryan Sessegnon producing a fine finish for his first goal since returning to the club in the summer.
Rodrigo Muniz dinked over Jose Sa to restore their lead from ex-Wolves winger Adama Traore’s pass.
Raul Jimenez, also back on his old stomping ground, failed to convert a big chance to give Fulham a two-goal cushion.
Head coach Marco Silva made five changes to his starting line-up – benching the likes of Antonee Robinson, Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey – potentially with Sunday’s FA Cup tie at Manchester United in his mind.
“We scored early in the second half and controlled the game in a different way than we normally do,” Silva told TNT Sports.
“We didn’t have much of the ball until the last 15 minutes when we had some chances to kill the game. But they didn’t have one chance in the second half. We did really well. In some moments we have to win games like we won tonight.”
