Millwall winger a doubt for Bristol City clash after coming off with injury in FA Cup reverse

Millwall boss Alex Neil was not able to provide any detail on the injury sustained by club record signing Camiel Neghli in today’s FA Cup loss at Crystal Palace.

The January addition from Sparta Rotterdam needed treatment in the first period before being forced to make way before the interval – Ra’ees Bangura-Williams taking his place.

Neghli looks a doubt for Tuesday’s home game against Bristol City although the Lions will be boosted by the return of Tristan Crama and Aaron Connolly, both cup-tied against the Eagles.

“It’s difficult to say,” said Millwall head coach Neil, when asked about Neghli’s setback.

“He has come off in the game. You could see when he went back on the pitch he wasn’t moving freely at all.

“We had to make the change.

“From the key moments in the game, they didn’t go in our favour – did they? We lose a man. We score an OG. We hit the ball off our own player and it ends up in the net. We lose a key player. It wasn’t great from all those perspectives.

“With Camiel we will assess him and see where he is.”
