Family fun at the Southbank Centre this Spring
The Southbank centre has a full programme of events lined up to keep the whole family entertained this Spring.
The arts centre has curated a host of vibrant shows, workshops and installations to run throughout the Easter holidays and May half-term.
Kicking things off on May 23, the venue’s Riverside Terrace will celebrate 80 years of the beloved children’s novels, the Moomins.
Marvel at the spectacle of the iconic Moominhouse, then head inside the Southbank Centre for free Moomin inspired activities.
Or, head to the Queen Elizabeth Hall to join an elephant and a boy journey from Bengal to Broadway.
The Vanishing Elephant, explores themes of friendship, migration and home through puppetry and theatre with performances running from May 29 to June 1.
For more puppetry, The Lion Inside offers a new stage adaptation of the best-selling story.
Music and song carries this heart warming tale about confidence as a little mouse sets out on a journey to find his roar.
Elsewhere, visitors can explore A Limitless Recycled Playground at the Royal Festival Hall or learn about anatomy through dance at the Queen Elizabeth Hall.
