Three fire engines and about 15 firefighters tackled the blaze at a semi-detached house in Selhurst Road, after being alerted to the incident at around 3.30pm.
One woman was treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service crews. She was taken to hospital where she later died, the London Fire Brigade (LBF) said.
