South Region BMX race at Peckham’s Burgess Park track
Brixton’s BMX riders were out in force for round six of the South Region BMX race series at Peckham’s Burgess Park track on Sunday.
Teams had come from Peckham, Brixton, Merton, Hackney and Hayes but also further afield – Gravesend, Runnymede, Bournemouth and Knightwood. With hot and dry weather, the riders had to contend with dusty conditions, although Peckham’s track team sprayed water on to the track to minimise the problem.
Strong winds at times also added to the challenges for riders, although the Brixton team was up to the task.
