Pensioner dies after traffic collision in Battersea
A pensioner pedestrian has died after being involved in a collision.
A man aged in his 80s was taken to a South London hospital suffering serious injuries but later died from during the early hours of Wednesday morning. His next of kin have been informed.
Officers were called at 1.39pm on Tuesday, 4 June to a collision involving a grey Peugeot 307 and the pedestrian at the junction of McDermott Close and Ingrave Street, SW11.
Police investigating the incident in Wandsworth are appealing for witnesses.
The driver of the car, a woman aged in her 40s, stopped at the scene and was arrested for driving under the influence of a controlled substance. She has since been released under investigation.
