Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set to complete his move to Manchester United – with Crystal Palace agreeing a fee in the region of £50million for their academy youth product.

The Eagles had been negotiating earlier this week over a deal for their 21-year-old right-back.

And while reports at the end of last week were premature that a transfer had been agreed, it now looks only a matter of time before United get their man.

There had been a suggestion that Palace could net up to £55m for the England U21 international. The full details over the move have yet to be confirmed by either club.

His Palace deal runs until 2022 and the figures involved in the deal are huge when you consider he has only played 39 first-team matches for the SE25 club.

Wan-Bissaka’s salary is expected to rocket as high as £90,000 a week.

He won Palace’s Player of the Year for a string of assured performances last season – with his one-v-one defending particularly lauded.

The transfer will smash the previous highest fee that Palace received for a player, Yannick Bolasie’s switch to Everton was purported to be £25m in August 2016.
