Charlton Athletic to sign West Brom striker Jonathan Leko
BY RICHARD CAWLEY
Charlton Athletic are set to sign Jonathan Leko on loan.
The West Bromwich Albion striker is understood to have headed to South London last night to wrap up his switch before today’s 5pm transfer deadline.
Leko, 20, has won caps at all levels for England from U16 to U19 level. He spent time on loan at Bristol City in the 2017-18 campaign.
The young winger has blistering pace and despite being raw is seen as possessing huge potential.
Charlton are looking to conclude deals for Leko and his Baggies team-mate Sam Field.
