Two brothers have been charged with firearms offences following a targeted arrest operation by officers from the Central West Command Unit.

On Monday of last week, officers arrested the two men close to their Shepherds Bush home on suspicion of firearms offences.

Shortly afterwards, officers recovered three firearms, ammunition and component parts.

Aamir Hanif, 27, of Bentworth Road, has been charged with possession of a weapon for the discharge of a noxious liquid/gas/electrical incapacitation device and possession of a class-B drug.

Yunus Hanif, 25, of the same address, has been charged with possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition for a firearm without a certificate, possession of an imitation firearm in a public place and modifying an imitation firearm so that it becomes a realistic imitation firearm.

They were remanded in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday and are due back in court on September 4.
