Four charged over murder of teen cyclist struck by a car
Four people have been remanded in custody following court appearances relating to the murder of 18-year-old Amrou Greenidge from Fulham.
Darrel Mortimer, 19, was arrested on Thursday, August 22 and charged the following day with the murder. He appeared in custody at Westminster
Magistrates’ Court on August 24.
Previously, three other people were charged. A 16-year-old youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with murder on August 21.
A 17-year-old, who also cannot be named, was charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon on August 20.
They appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on August 21.
Connor Gwynn-Bliss, 19, of Hammersmith and Fulham, was charged with murder and arson on August 21 and appeared in custody a day later at Westminster Magistrates’ Court.
All three subsequently appeared at the Old Bailey on August 23.
They have been remanded in custody and a provisional trial date has been set for February 10.
The charges are in connection with an incident in Broomhouse Lane, Fulham at 2.43pm on Sunday, August 18.
Mr Greenidge, pictured, was found at the location with serious head injuries.
It is believed the teenager had been riding a pedal cycle when he was struck by a car and then allegedly assaulted.
He was taken to a west London hospital in a critical condition and died of his
injuries on Tuesday, August 20.
