Striker supplies insight into what Millwall need to add ahead of Championship fixtures in September
BY RICHARD CAWLEY
Tom Bradshaw reckons Millwall just need a bit more of a clinical touch as they head back into Championship action this weekend.
The Lions are 12th in the table but only a point behind Fulham, who occupy the first play-off spot.
Millwall only have three fixtures in September, compared to eight in August, with Blackburn first up at Ewood Park.
Bradshaw said: “August is always carnage in terms of games. The league games are crammed in with the cup ones. It’s always hectic.
“We just need to keep doing what we’re doing at home and away, maybe just be more clinical.
“Defensively we have been good, bar Fulham. We’ve kept it quite tight. We haven’t needed to score loads of goals to win a game.
“To pick up seven points at home – against tough teams as well like Preston, Sheffield Wednesday and Hull – is a great return.
“We also picked up points on the road at Middlesbrough and West Brom when we probably deserved more – especially against Middlesbrough. It has been encouraging for all the lads.”
