Promoters Disco Heat present a Christmas fundraiser in support of Crisis with DJ Bill Brewster and Faze Action

Disco Heat – Friday 6th December
At The Prince of Wales, Brixton

With Jack Frost making his annual trip over to the UK, temperatures are bound to reach sub-zero, an environment that nobody should have to endure.

The expanding homelessness crisis, more apparent than ever on the streets of London, is an indication that we all need to come together to do our bit.

Whilst most of the nation hurries around in a gluttonous frenzy, there are organisations such as Crisis who do amazing work to provide shelter, care and advice as well as simple human interaction at Christmas time when those on the streets are often overlooked and left out in the cold.
With this event we aim to show that we can make a difference with how we spend our time, the conversations we engage in to promote social change and also how we spend our money.
Musically, Disco Heat brings together a first class lineup with none other than dance music boffin, deep digging DJ, author, journalist and bastion of classy party sounds Bill Brewster bringing the knowledge.

DJ Bill Brewster

He has been doing his do for decades and is one of the most in demand names in the game for good reason.

Then comes Faze Action, who have long been lighting up the disco landscape with their cosmic live shows and boogie basslines, fusing together all styles of disco old and new into fantastic soundtracks that span the eras.

Add in Alfresco presents Logan Fisher & 7″s of bliss, Jay Carder, Size Doesn’t Matter, Linden C (Mi-Soul) and Gerrardo and you have every part of the disco spectrum covered in style.

The venue is The Prince of Wales (The POW) in Brixton, a place synonymous with great disco parties over many years as well as an all important sound system that is crystal clear and punchy across multiple rooms including a covered and heated roof terrace.

It’s a stylish venue for a humble party hosted by in the know brands such as London Disco Society, a collective of disco devotees and highly regarded selectors who bring plenty of knowledge and passion, Up On The Roof who are famed for their rooftop parties with a diverse fusion of everything from soul & disco to house & hip-hop, and Brixton Disco Festival who celebrate the birthday of the genre each year in April with an always raucous get together.

Further brands offering support on the night include Disco Disco, the house and disco rave hot off the back of a summer residency at Pikes Ibiza and 93 Feet East in Shoreditch.

Joining them is Mi Soul Radio – the biggest and best radio station for lovers of soul, disco, funk, dance, house, garage, reggae, hip hop and all things in between and has been since it was founded by the original founders of KissFM in 2011.

Finally, Alfresco Festival, the cultural party for all the family that brings underground acts to a boutique location in the woods will also be providing beats on the night.

This is a great cause at a great location with a great soundtrack, so get involved. Tickets are £5 at www.residentadvisor.net
