ESI believe they have fully answered EFL’s questions and made clear no links to Manchester City owner
East Street Investments believe they have answered all of the EFL’s questions to dispel any notion that their takeover bid is connected to Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour.
The EFL sent back questions to ESI on Tuesday morning asking about the relationship between Tahnoon Nimer, the Abu Dhabi-based businessman who is bankrolling the deal to buy the Addicks, and Mansour.
ESI say that they responded fully to those queries before the end of the day and that there is no familial relationship to Mansour.
They also claim they have provided both source and proof of funds to the EFL, who need to green light their takeover.
ESI have Shaun McHugh – formerly a finance director at Crystal Palace during Simon Jordan’s reign – at Charlton to get a financial overview.
