Crystal Palace v West Ham United: Sakho straight back into Eagles line up for derby

BY SAM SMITH

Mamadou Sakho returns for Crystal Palace as Roy Hodgson has made two changes to the Eagles side to face West Ham this afternoon.

The Frenchman was sent off against Bournemouth earlier this month but has since completed his three-match ban. Sakho replaces James McCarthy from the side which lost 1-0 at Newcastle United on December 22.

That change means Cheikhou Kouyate moves forward into midfield having deputised at centre back.

Max Meyer replaces Christian Benteke, who is not in the squad. Victor Camarasa has returned to the substitutes’ bench having been unwell before Palace travelled to the north east.

Palace: Guaita, Kelly, Sakho, Tomkins, Van Aanholt, Kouyate, Meyer, McArthur, Milivojevic, Zaha, Ayew.

Subs: Hennessey, Woods, Pierrick, Riedewald, McCarthy, Camarasa, Wickham.

West Ham: Roberto, Cresswell, Ogbonna, Balbuena, Zabaleta, Fornals, Rice, Noble, Snodgrass, Haller, Antonio.

Subs: Anang, Diop, Masuaku, Sanchez, Anderson, Lanzini, Ajeti.
