Swansea City v Charlton Athletic team news: Full Championship debuts for 20-year-olds Josh Davison and Ben Dempsey

BY LOUIS MENDEZ

20-year-olds Ben Dempsey and Josh Davison are set to make their full Championship debuts as Lee Bowyer makes four changes for the trip to Swansea – with Lyle Taylor also starting after coming off the bench at Derby.

Adam Matthews and skipper Jason Pearce also return to the starting line-up as the Addicks go in search of a first away win since August.

The South Londoners are missing as many as 13 bodies through injury as they make the trip to south Wales – Macauley Bonne the latest addition to the treatment room after suffering a hamstring knock during the defeat at Pride Park three days ago.

He misses out completely, with Chris Solly, Alfie Doughty, Deji Oshilaja and Naby Sarr dropping to the bench as Bowyer names his first line-up of the ESI era – following the announcement today that the Abu Dhabi-based consortium have finalised their takeover of the club.

Charlton: Phillips, Matthews, Lockyer, Pearce, Purrington, Pratley, Morgan, Dempsey, Gallagher, Davison, Taylor. Subs: Maynard-Brewer, Oshilaja, Ledley, Solly, Sarr, Doughty, Vennings.
