Luton Town boss Graeme Jones fumes at offside decision in Charlton reverse
Graeme Jones felt aggrieved that Luton Town had a perfectly good goal struck off in Saturday’s 3-1 loss at Charlton.
Harry Cornick’s shot was slid in from virtually on the line by James Collins.
But the goal – at a time when the score stood at 1-1 – was ruled out for offside.
Jones, pictured inset, said: “They are huge decisions and it was given against little Luton again – which I don’t like, as at 2-1 you’re in the ascendency.
“I’ve known Andre [Marriner] for years and the linesmen – they are Premier League officials. My disappointment is with them, they got a huge decision wrong.
“If we get 2-1 up I think we understand how to control football matches. We probably would have fell back into the pattern we had at Middlesbrough last week, where we controlled it on and off the ball.
“I would definitely be pro VAR [in the Championship] – you want to get the right answer. Was it a fair result? Let’s see what happens at 2-1. We’re left feeling a bit scabby.”

I admit that I only saw the ruling on tv,but it did look a perfectly fair decision.
