Man questioned by police after murder in Crayford park

A suspect is being quizzed by murder detectives after a man was attacked in a park in Crayford.

Police were called at 4.20pm on Friday to The Parade and found an unresponsive 41-year-old.

He was taken to hospital by London’s Air Ambulance in a critical condition and died on Saturday afternoon.

His family were present and are being supported by specialist officers.

A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.

Homicide detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are investigating.

A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder on Saturday and remains in custody.

Enquiries into the circumstances continue.
