Brixton cruiserweight Isaac Chamberlain has placed a spoof advert in Lawrence Okolie’s local paper which claimed he was seeking employment.

The two unbeaten cruiserweights face off tomorrow night at Greenwich’s 02 Arena.

Chamberlain (9-0) has previously held the Southern Area title but Okolie (7-0) will be the biggest test of his career.

The advert claimed Okolie “can count to 10 after being dropped by Chamberlain” and also added “at 6ft 5ins, stacking shelves is not a problem but my matchsticks can’t carry much weight”.

Hackney’s Okolie boxed for Great Britain at the last Olympics in Brazil.

“The Olympic athlete gets everything he wants,” said Chamberlain. “Yeah, I’m jealous. I’m jealous of all the Olympic athletes. It is an amazing experience, going to represent your country.

“All the Olympic athletes have gone on to do amazing things – Gamal Yafai, James Degale and Anthony Joshua. They are the real deal – you [Okolie] are not.”

Chamberlain’s uncle and trainer Ted Bami – a former European champion – told Okolie: “If Isaac doesn’t stop you then I’m giving up boxing.”
