Report: Scottish giants hold talks over deal for Charlton striker Lyle Taylor

Rangers and Celtic have reportedly held talks with Lyle Taylor’s representatives – with the Charlton striker also having options in England.

The Addicks frontman is quitting The Valley on a free transfer.

And the Daily Record claim that the two biggest clubs in Scottish football have had tentative talks with Taylor’s agents.

Charlton lost midfielder Joe Aribo last summer when he rejected a contract extension  despite the club’s promotion to the Championship and signed for Rangers.

It is also thought that Leeds United, West Bromwich Albion and Swansea are also admirers of Taylor, who declined to play again once football resumed following the coronavirus pandemic as he did not want to risk a lucrative move falling through if he suffered an injury.
