Woman sexually assaulted while walking home along Thames Path in Greenwich

Police have issued pictures of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the sexual assault of a woman on her way home in the early hours of the morning last month.

The victim, an 18-year-old woman, was walking along the Thames Path in Greenwich between 4.30am and 4.40am on Friday, June 26.

She had reached Highbridge Wharf, near the Trafalgar Tavern Pub, when she was approached from behind and sexually assaulted by a man.

The woman fought back and the attacker fled along Eastney Street. He was last seen on CCTV walking into Lassell Street.

The suspect is described as a white man with brown ear-length hair in curtains, wearing a black Adidas tracksuit with white stripes along the arms and legs.
