Charlton Athletic attacker Mavididi due for scan today on hamstring injury

Stephy Mavididi is set for a scan on his injured hamstring today – with Charlton manager Karl Robinson expecting the on-loan Arsenal man to be out no longer than three weeks.

The exciting attacker got treatment on the pitch during Saturday’s 3-2 loss to Oxford United before being replaced in the second half.

When asked about a timescale for Mavididi’s absence, Robinson told the South London Press: “We still don’t know.

“We thought it was only a 10-day and now think it could be three weeks.

“We are doing a scan this morning.”

When asked about Mavididi’s injury being a setback for the Addicks, Robinson replied: “Yes and no, because we have got Sullay [Kaikai] – so we feel we’re in a good place in those positions.

“We’ve also got Nicky Ajose back as well. He gives us a little bit more in the offensive area.”
