Transfer gossip: Crystal Palace offer deal to former Bournemouth winger

Crystal Palace have reportedly offered a contract to former Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser.

The 26-year-old left the Cherries at the end of June after declining to sign an extension to see out the final weeks of their Premier League campaign.

The Guardian claim that Palace have offered Fraser a deal worth £50,000 a week.

It is unclear whether landing the Scottish international would end the Eagles’ interest in QPR playmaker Ebere Eze. The west London outfit are thought to be holding out for £20m for the Greenwich-born 22-year-old.

Eagles manager Roy Hodgson has made it clear that strengthening his attacking options is a priority and they have also been linked with a move for Brentford’s Ollie Watkins.

There were claims earlier this week that the striker, 24, had an £18m buyout clause in his Bees deal.

He scored 26 goals in the 2019-20 season but is unlikely to want to stay at Brentford after their Championship play-off final defeat to Fulham on Tuesday night.

Aston Villa have also been mooted as admirers.
