EFL Cup first round draw: Away trips for Millwall, Charlton and AFC Wimbledon

Millwall, Charlton and AFC Wimbledon have all been drawn away in the first round of the EFL Cup.

The draw took place this morning for the fixtures, which are due to take place on September 5.

The Lions face a trip to League Two Crawley Town.

It will be only the second meeting of the two clubs. The West Sussex side won the last meeting, which was also in the same competition, edging home on penalties after the tie at The Den finished 2-2.

Charlton face Swindon Town in an all-League One encounter.

The Addicks last trip to Wiltshire saw them lose 3-0 in November 2016 – a result which saw manager Russell Slade sacked a couple of days later.

Wimbledon have been drawn at Oxford United, who lost in the League One play-off semi-finals.
