Lee Bowyer gives his reaction to court verdict as Paul Elliott is denied an injunction – paving the way for Thomas Sandgaard to try and complete Charlton takeover

Lee Bowyer hopes that the verdict in today’s injunction hearing opens up a positive future for Charlton.
A judge denied Paul Elliott an injunction that would have prevented Panorama Magic from selling the South London club to another buyer – potentially paving the way for Danish businessman Thomas Sandgaard to complete a takeover at The Valley.
“That was my happiness for tonight,” said the Addicks boss when asked about the court verdict after he saw his side beaten 2-1 by AFC Wimbledon in the EFL Trophy.
“I’ve met Thomas and spoken to him – everything he is saying is positive. He seems a really nice man as well. It’s a good thing, but let’s not jump ahead too quick. I had three owners last season. I just want someone to come in and stabilise the club and see where we go from there.
“I’ve been through too much. The Wimbledon goalie coach said to me ‘Lee, you look exhausted.’ I said I’m just drained from all this craziness. It’s not normal. I’ve got greyer. It’s mad. It’s draining trying to juggle these millions of things behind the scenes that are nothing to do with me.
“It can become draining and I’m tired. I’m tired at the moment. Trying to make things happen that aren’t even possible. We’re trying to get players in at the moment and we can’t. I’m just banging my head against a brick wall.”
