AFC Wimbledon boss doesn’t want to lose Wrexham transfer target Ollie Palmer
The 29-year-old played 89 minutes in Saturday’s 0-0 draw against fellow relegation rivals Morecambe.
The South London Press understands that Palmer has 18 months left on his current deal at Plough Lane.
Wrexham, who are seventh in the National League, made a six-figure bid for the Epsom-born Palmer.
“There has been interest, but I see Ollie as very much a part of what I want to do here,” said Robinson.
The Dons had a chance to move five points clear from the bottom four against Morecambe but they failed to take one of their 15 chances during the 90 minutes.
When asked if he believed Wimbledon fans were concerned about being around the League One relegation zone, Robinson said: “Don’t be concerned. Wimbledon, since we have been a professional football club, has always been around the relegation zone – apart from four months when we went on a run and got ourselves into League One.
“I don’t think that will be the case this year – I am more than confident that we will have the best season that we have had as a professional football club and rack up more points than we have ever had.”
