AFC Wimbledon players left disappointed by Ipswich draw as head coach supplies Ollie Palmer update
BY KAI BENNETT
AFC Wimbledon boss Mark Robinson gave an insight into his team’s reaction after drawing against Ipswich and provided an update on Ollie Palmer.
The Dons drew 0-0 against Ipswich Town today.
Robinson was pleased with how his players reacted after the game. He told the club’s website: “The players are already talking, they’re already saying how disappointed they are. They didn’t think they were good enough in the second half.
“They think it’s a massive missed opportunity and they’re extremely disappointed. That’s the great thing [about this team] I don’t have to say a lot. You listen to them and then you fill in any gaps, any detailed gaps.
“There’s a couple of things that I needed to say, that will stay between us in terms of where we’re going, where we need to be better. That’s the great thing [about the squad], they’re taking more and more ownership which is pleasing.”
Palmer missed the trip to East Anglia.
“Ollie didn’t react as well as we’d hoped. We though he’d be ok, and he hasn’t been. It’s a little worse than we first thought. It may be a bit more long term than we hoped it would. But we’ll see [how he goes].”
