Charlton Athletic trio will be leaving club this summer – no fresh terms will be tabled
Charlton Athletic will release Ben Watson, Chris Gunter and Pape Souare at the end of the season.
The news will come as little shock in terms of Watson and Souare, with both struggling to command regular game time in SE7 this season.
The Addicks have two matches remaining in their League One campaign and the trio are not expected to feature.
Watson has made just nine league appearances this season, six of those starts, and turns 36 in early July. It is thought the former Crystal Palace midfielder could be set to announce his retirement.

Gunter, 32, is expected to carry on playing as he wants to be selected by Wales, who can still qualify for the World Cup finals.
Capped 107 times by his country, the former Reading and Forest defender, who has played at full-back and centre-back in the current campaign, has not featured at club level since the 2-1 loss to Accrington on March 12.

Ex-Eagles left-back Souare, 31, was signed on a free transfer in September following his release by Troyes.
But his last game time came in the EFL Trophy tie against MK at the start of January. The last of his nine League One outings was on December 18, a 1-0 reverse at Plymouth.
