Charlton boss provides injury update on Luton loanee Andrew Shinnie

Andrew Shinnie will not be available for Charlton’s match at Hull City this weekend.

The on-loan Luton Town attacker, 31, has missed the last four fixtures after coming off with a thigh problem against MK at the start of this month.

And Addicks manager Lee Bowyer says that he is not expecting any of the players who have been unavailable to be back for the trip to one of their League One promotion rivals.

“Shinnie is still not right,” he said. “We’ve got to make sure he’s right when he comes back.

“He was very good for us when he was playing and we don’t want to rush him back. We have done that before and it doesn’t work.

“We need to look after him and make sure he’s right.”
