Craft beer tap room given green light to open under London Underground Station

A craft beer bar has been given the green light to open in the railway arches of Wood Lane London Underground Station.
House of Cans was granted permission to open by Hammersmith and Fulham Council but the bar will have to close its garden when Queen’s Park Rangers play at home.
Met Police licensing officers have asked the tap room not to host fans outside before or after games at the nearby Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.
Hammersmith licensing bosses granted the licence on July 29 with the condition that the bar agree to the additional rules set out by the force.
The beer specialists will not be allowed to use glass bottles or pint glasses two hours before kick off and must wait two hours until the match has finished to serve drinks as normal.
The bar will open following their prior success at House of Cans in Kings Cross where drinkers can buy 24 different types of beer.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to design their own cans of alcohol – which can be used as gifts.
The bar will double up as a bottle shop in Arch 93 – next door to the Westfield shopping centre – just a six minute walk from White City underground station.
The spot will be shared with a coffee shop who will operate between 7am and 2pm before House of Cans take over the premises until its 11pm closing time.
The beer shop is one of 31 railway arches being redeveloped by Transport for London next to Wood Lane Station.
