Fleetwood Town v Charlton Athletic team news: Reeco Hackett-Fairchild to make first senior league start

Reeco Hackett-Fairchild makes his first senior league start for Charlton as they travel to Fleetwood Town.

The 21-year-old will spearhead the Addicks’ attack, with deadline day signing Josh Parker on the bench.

Hackett-Fairchild comes in to take the place of fellow academy graduate Karlan Grant, following his transfer to Premier League Huddersfield Town during the week.

Parker joined on a short-term deal from near-neighbours Gillingham, but doesn’t make the starting eleven today.

George Lapslie comes in to replace Darren Pratley, who drops to the bench.

Striker Igor Vetokele makes his first appearance in the squad since early November. The Angolan dislocated his shoulder during an away game with Walsall but will also be an option from the bench for Lee Bowyer this afternoon.

Charlton: Phillips, Solly, Bauer, Sarr, Purrington, Bielik, Cullen, Lapslie, Williams, Reeves, Hackett-Fairchild. Subs: Maxwell, Dijksteel, Fosu, Pratley, Marshall, Parker, Vetokele.
