Bankside Open Spaces Festival If you’re looking to dance in the street come to Bankside Open Spaces Festival will fill Bankside’s Union Street, in Redcross Way, next to Borough Market, and three small parks with every genre of music you can imagine on June 10.
With four music and performance stages, the festival covers all vibes to suit all tastes and all ages.
If you’re looking to dance in the street, the DJ Stage down Redcross Way will have six sets with live saxophone and drums, firedancers, bubble artists and two hosts all putting on a show.
The Main Stage is changing it up, a festival in its own right it will offer street food and bars and open with four Latina dance groups before segueing into six sets with a range of art house funk, roots, rhythm and blues and ska.
If you are hoping for something a bit more chill, Red Cross Garden will have somewhere to sit and enjoy a bit of alt-folk, Americana, delta blues or indie pop.
And for the active and community minded, Marlborough Sports Garden’s Community Stage will have a mix of community choirs and performers, as well as free dance workshops.
Across the festival, local craft stalls and free activities and workshops will keep all ages busy and entertained.
There’s a beach, free sports coaching and plenty of crafts for the kids, plant stalls and a big plant giveaway, art workshops, a dog show, bars for the thirsty and street food for the foodies.
