Joe Edwards asked about January transfer window dealings for Millwall
Joe Edwards has indicated that Millwall will not make any major overhaul of their playing squad in the January transfer window.
Championship clubs can begin doing business from the start of next month.
It will be Edwards’ first window as Lions head coach after recently succeeding Gary Rowett in the Den hotseat.
“It definitely won’t be big changes to the squad,” said the former Chelsea and Everton coach.
“Firstly we know that January is a difficult market anyway. If there are players who can come in and make an impact I think we’ll always be looking at that.
“I’m someone who has got a big history around players who go on loan and I’ve got contacts at clubs – so if there are options to bring in players who can help us then, yeah.
“It certainly won’t be big changes. It’s a case of seeing how we get through this next period as well. We might be enforced to do stuff if we lose players but, at this stage, we are having discussions and we have a list of options.”
