Car showroom now home to 173 flats
Vistry South East is celebrating its fifth year on site at a 173-home development which has transformed a former car showroom in Battersea.
The housebuilder, part of Vistry Group which includes Bovis Homes, Linden Homes and Vistry Partnerships, has delivered the four new apartment blocks at Viewpoint, a collection of one, two and three-bedroom apartments on land off York Road next to the River Thames.
The Linden Homes development, which launched in 2017, comprises 130 apartments for private sale and 43 affordable homes for people through rent or shared ownership.
There are now just 32 new apartments available to buy at the development which also features a new car showroom and garage. The new dealership business, which opened in 2019, is situated in the first three floors of the complex, with the apartments above them.
Ginny James, sales and marketing director for Vistry South East, said: “This year marks a significant milestone in the transformation of a 1970s garage into a vibrant new community. Construction work finished on the site in 2019 and over the years, we have welcomed a whole host of new residents to Viewpoint.
“The two and three-bedroomed apartments which are currently available represent a fantastic opportunity to purchase a new home in the up-and-coming area of Battersea, where Clapham Junction, with trains to central London, is a 10-minute walk away. These new homes are proving particularly popular with young first-time buyers commuting into the capital.
“Viewpoint is ideal for those who live a busy London lifestyle but want a home where they can relax in a calming outdoor environment. Each apartment has a private balcony or terrace with stunning views and the development is just a short stroll from riverside walks along the Thames and the green spaces of York Gardens and Falcon Park. A new café also recently opened at the development and has already become a firm favourite with residents.
“Residents at Viewpoint are benefiting from living in one of London’s rapidly growing districts where the £9billion redevelopment of the famous Battersea Power Station and the ongoing redevelopment of Winstanley and York Road is bringing homes, shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, offices and plenty of public open space to the area.
“This transformation, and the opening of the Northern line extension, which started services in September 2021, has made the centre of London even more accessible and is likely to boost house prices in Battersea in the coming years as the area builds on its growing reputation as one of the capital’s most sought-after locations.”
There are currently two and three-bedroomed homes available to reserve at Viewpoint, with prices starting at £629,000.
Residents at Viewpoint will also benefit from the concierge service.
