Exhibition: Asteroid City features at 180 Studios, The Strand
If you fancy the chance to dine out at the iconic 1950s diner featured in Wes Anderson’s most recent film, head to 180 Studios.
The gallery in the Strand has joined forces with Universal Pictures to create an exhibition featuring original sets, props, costumes, artwork, visuals, and sounds to celebrate the launch of the American film-maker’s newest release, Asteroid City.
The exhibition will transport audiences into the world of Anderson’s 11th feature film as well as an opportunity to dine out at the film’s 1950s diner, the Luncheonette.
Asteroid City takes place in 1955 in a fictional American desert town. According to the trailer, the Junior Stargazer convention, which is organized to bring together students and parents from across the country for a time of fellowship and scholarly competition, is disrupted by world-changing events.
Written and directed by Wes Anderson, Asteroid City stars Jason Schwartzman, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks, Jeffrey Wright and Tilda Swinton.
Exhibition dates are between June 17 and July 7 at 180 Studios, The Strand in Temple while the film opens on June 23.
