Experience World Book Day sky high

A sky high reading nook is being set up for a special after hours event series which will launch on World Book Day.

Battersea Power Station’s landmark’s chimney lift will be transformed on March 7 for the ‘Lift 109 Lates’.

Visitors will be taken to new heights to enjoy a reading experience with a 360 view of London’s skyline.

The glass elevator will become a peaceful hideaway, offering an escape from busy lives and busy minds.

In the book tasting session visitors will be guided through a collection of four books before walking away with the title they enjoy the most.

The taster selection – curated by members of Battersea Power Station’s Battersea Bookshop – includes Brick Lane by Monica Ali, London Belongs to Me by Norman Collins, Rivers of London by Ben Aaronovitch and Doing Time by Jodi Taylor.

Tickets are priced at £45 each, which will include your chosen novel and a soft drink.

To book tickets, visit www.lift109.co.uk
