Feel good with Camberwell’s health and well-being festivals

By Sophia Shade

Hosting two free health and wellbeing events for residents, the Camberwell Feel Good Festival is returning this July.

On July 6 and 13, attendees will have the chance to participate in yoga, fitness, and art activities across the two Saturdays.

Suitable for all ages, the festival provides both family fun, and vital health support.

The festival will be hosted in Camberwell Green on July 6, before moving to Ruskin park on July 13.

Teaming up with Let’s get Together and Feel Alright Africa Heritage festival, the Camberwell Green event will also feature drumming, Zumba, heritage storytelling, arts and crafts activities, and much more.

This day’s activities will last until around 6.30pm.

Alongside the social activities, the festival will provide NHS health advice, mental health support, and signposting from Southwark’s wellbeing van and Lambeth’s wellbeing bus.

Following the festival in early July, a community picnic will be held on July 27.

Located in Myatt’s Field Park, the celebrations will continue with free live music performed by Jazzlive at the Crypt. Children will be equally entertained by children’s activities from Mulberry Outdoor Preschool.

The festival events are supported by Southwark council’s Neighbourhoods Fund and Changing Lives, Lambeth council’s Social Value Fund.
