Multi-Story Orchestra wraps up its 2024 season with two final shows
The award-winning Multi-Story Orchestra (MSO) will wrap up their 2024 season with two powerful performances.
Bottled Up, a dynamic new show by the Brixton based orchestra, is set to take the stage at Fairfield Halls in Croydon for an evening show on November 29, followed by an afternoon performance at the Southbank Centre on December 1.
Throughout the performance, the orchestra explores the intense emotions of feeling on the brink of explosion – what happens when you’ve had enough, and what follows when you finally let it out?
Led by acclaimed choir director Daniel Thomas – who previously directed Bright Goes Gospel and The House Gospel Choir – the show starts with musicians spread throughout the space in interactive performances. Slowly, the symphony rises into a climax with a full orchestral show to close the set.
MSO is an award-winning music charity founded in 2011 by composer Kate Whitley and conductor Christopher Stark.
Known for transforming traditional concert experiences to reach new and diverse audiences, MSO stages performances in unconventional venues like multi-storey car parks.
These final two shows of the MSO 2024 season, follow their acclaimed sold-out run of Verified in 2023. This was recreated for a second 2024 showcase, performed at Bold Tendencies, and Southbank’s Classical Program earlier this year.
