See the Evolution and Rose Gardens in full bloom at Kew Gardens

Enjoy Kew Gardens this July and see a new wave of blooming wildlife.

Coming into the height of summer, July will see the Evolution and Rose Gardens at Kew coming into full bloom.

Visitors of the botanical gardens in Kew Road, Kew, can also marvel at the incredible displays in the Waterlily House, featuring the world’s largest water lily, Victoria boliviana.

Or, wander round the wood chip paths in Kew’s Rhododendron Dell.

This beautiful dell is host to a number or rare specimens including pink-flowered Rhododendron kotschyi from the Carpathian and Balkan mountains, and Kew’s oldest type, R. campanulatum.

This hidden corner of Kew showcases huge bushes of richly-hued petals, burst into colour at every angle.

If you can manage taking the heat up a notch, The Temperate House promises a steamy experience.

Home to 1,500 species of plants from Africa, Australia, New Zealand, the Americas, Asia and the Pacific Islands, all the species contained within its walls need to live in conditions above 10C to survive.

Despite being the foundation of much life on Earth, many of these plants are under threat.

The Temperate House tells the story of how Kew and partners all around the world are working to rescue plants that are rare or already extinct in the wild.
