The London Art Fair celebrates its 35th edition this January

The London Art Fair is launching its latest international art collecting calendar with a wide range of works from across the globe to celebrate its 35th edition.

From January 8-22, collectors can rejoice at the range of contemporary artworks to buy.

This year they are participating with more than 100 International galleries, including ones from Iceland, Belgium, America and Sweden.

The fair will be exhibiting the work of some of the world’s most famous artists such as Pablo Picasso, Paula Rego, Roy Lichtenstein and Salvador Dali as well as some emerging talents from contemporary galleries such as The Finch Project, Elizabeth XI Bauer and Artistellar.

There will also be a number of British artworks made by Jewish, immigrant and refugee artists from the Ben Uri Gallery and Museum.

Purdy Hicks will be unveiling of Sandra Kantanen’s new series Herbarium for the first time, which highlights the intricacy of nature through the representation of exotic plants.

Other highlights include RAW Edition’s all-woman booth which features a range of politically engaged works of art from artists such as Bridget Riley, Louise Bourgeois and Barbara Kruger and Koop Projects’ stand which is dedicated to African artists who explore ideas of a collective identity through the transformation of unwanted objects.
