Things to do on Greenwich Peninsula this summer

By Sophia Shade

This summer, Greenwich Peninsula returns as the home of all things summer, with a jam-packed programme of events.

Open to all ages, activities range from Wild Swing mini golf to an outdoor starlit cinema.

Kicking off on July 18, and running throughout summer until September, Greenwich Peninsula’s summer season is set to be an irresistible blend of food, music, art, and games fit for the whole family.

Home to the city’s first rooftop basketball court and elevated garden park, there’s something to entertain everybody, no matter your interests.

The summer programme is no less varied in events, and with most of the lineup being completely free, there’s no reason to not go and check it out.

One free event is the Chromatic River Walk by London-based designer Kitty Jospeh, where visitors will be enthralled by her playful exploration of colour and dynamic shapes, all while enhancing the beauty of the surroundings.

If installations aren’t your thing, the peninsula will also offer multiple gigs in July and August for all jazz and rock fans, featuring artists such as Girl Ray, Ibibio Sound Machine, Tina Edwards, Marla Kether, and Naia.
