Weird Al Yankovic’s The Unfortunate Return of the Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour comes to the UK

Weird Al Yankovic will be coming to the UK in February for a limited run as part of his world tour The Unfortunate Return of the Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour.

Al is the biggest-selling comedy recording artist of all time, having released 150 songs and sold 12 million albums since 1976.

As well as winning five Grammys, his last release Mandatory Fun was the first comedy album in history to debut at No1 on Billboard’s Top 200.

He said: “I don’t very often get an opportunity to tour outside of North America, so it’s a huge thrill for me to come back to the UK and play a bunch of songs that most people would rather not hear.”

He is widely celebrated for his songs that parody pop culture and contemporary musicians.

However, this tour will cut back on the usual theatrics and feature fan-favourite originals instead of parodies.

The no-frills nature of the show will be reflected in the choice of intimate theatres and settings.

His tour coincides with the release of the new film Weird: The Al Yankovic Story – a true and biographical parody featuring Daniel Radcliffe as Weird Al.

Catch Weird Al at the London Palladium on February 16.
