Exclusive: Inside Skepta’s glam backstage hang-out at the Big Smoke festival

By Sarah Tetteh

London rapper king Skepta doesn’t do things by halves when it comes to putting on a festival.

For Big Smoke in Crystal Palace, which was packed with iconic performances and vibes, Nando’s pulled up backstage to provide spice and fuel for the artists performing, as well as celebs attending the festival.

Mahalia, Gully Guy Leo and Nafe Smallz were among some of the names hanging out backstage in the Nando’s area which included a vending machine with Skepta’s very own Big Smoke PERi-BBQ sauces.

It also boasted a bespoke Big Smoke menu, and personalised napkins featuring song lyrics from The Streets. Safe to say, it was a per—peri wonderful weekend had by all.
