Casa do Frango… great for families, date nights and meet-ups

Casa do Frango has opened its latest restaurant in Victoria Street, Victoria.

This Portuguese restaurant chain translates as Chicken House, so no prizes for guessing what’s on the menu.

Portuguese food has taken London by storm in the past year, and the Algarvian dish of Peri-Peri chicken remains as popular as ever.

I tried Casa do Frango’s version, and it is really rather good.

Juicy meat, glazed with a piquant marinade, charred on the coals to a smoky, sweet finish.

The bar offers drinks like the classic white port and tonic, Portuguese beer on draught, and a selection of cocktails with Portuguese twists as well as an all-Portuguese wine list that features Casa do Frango’s own Vinho Verde, Boa Pinga, a lightly effervescent wine created by the team, in collaboration with their friends at Quinta de Santiago.

This is an all-play restaurant, great for families, date nights and meet-ups with friends.
