Crumbs! On your marks, get set, bake – as engineers stage Bake-Off for homeless charity

They might not have got a handshake from Paul Hollywood – but there were certainly no soggy bottoms left afterwards.

Green Structural Engineering, an engineering company in Blythe Road, Hammersmith, has held a Bake Off to raise money for St. Mungo’s, a homeless shelter with bases all over London.

And there wasn’t a crumb left by the end of the evening.

St. Mungo’s are a homeless shelter that not only help people find a place to call home by offering temporary & long-term shelter, but they also help people move on in their lives.

They do this through offering health services, running education courses & using an individual’s skills and interests as a basis for recovery to help keep people off the streets permanently.

The Bake Off took place in their office in Hammersmith and the colleagues all had a blast and baked some great cakes and pastries. Contestants were asked to bake a showstopper and were judged by their colleagues.

Congrats to both Varuni & Triantafyllos for winning best taste & best presented!

Thanks to the amazing efforts from the staff at the office, GSE managed to raise £150 for St. Mungo’s.

GSE have dedicated 2022 to donate to four chosen charities, all throughout various events.

Though starting with a Bake Off, they also have plans for a pub quiz, a cycle-thon & a Gala Ball in the summer, planning to donate money to Great Ormond Street Hospital, Solace Women’s Aid & Battersea Dogs and Cats Home too.
