Residents at Woodlands House Care & Nursing Home in Colliers Wood have been enjoying the summer sunshine with gardening and outdoor activities this month.
Recently refurbished, the care home has a wonderful range of luxury facilities designed to enable people to enjoy an array of activities and help residents live life to the full.
Woodlands House now has its own pub, where residents regularly enjoy a hearty pub lunch followed by a traditional pub quiz and sing-along. Pamper afternoons are a great favourite with residents who have an on-site luxury hair salon and can also have their nails done in style.
Woodlands House has an excellent reputation in the local area. One relative commented, “The carers are magnificent people, always welcoming and caring towards my mother and her family.
We are grateful for their endeavours and sacrifices during these most difficult times. We appreciate their understanding of our culture.
They have made us feel totally as a family during difficult times. They work hard and work to overcome all hurdles with great perseverance. God bless them!”
Staff have been delighted to welcome families back to visit their loved ones at Woodlands House. There have been many heart-warming reunions.
Families of residents are looking forward to taking advantage of the brand-new private dining room where they will host family parties and gatherings to mark special days and events.
Chef Juliana, recently nominated for the Care Home Chef award at the London regional Great British Care Awards, will be on hand to provide a fine dining experience to make any celebration extra special.
Woodlands House Care & Nursing Home offers 24-hour nursing care, residential care, respite care and specialised dementia care for up to 72 residents.
The highly trained staff team take a family-led approach, with person-centred residential and dementia care, tailored to each individual.
The home has recently been renovated, and eight brand new luxurious en-suite bedrooms added. Woodlands House has a large variety of facilities including a pub, cinema room and hair salon providing lots of opportunities for residents to socialise and relax in comfort.
