Town hall promises on park use are just empty

Back in June residents and park users had three consecutive weekends of large noisy events in Brockwell Park inflicted on us.

Notices on Lambeth council’s “great wall of Brockwell” erected around the events promised us no more commercial events in the park this summer.

Now we are informed that Pokemon GO Fest 2023 is to take place in the park over three days – August 4-6.

It may not be fenced off and hopefully will be much quieter than the June events, but this is surely a large commercial event.

What happened to Lambeth’s empty promise?
