By Sarah Tettah

The gloves are off – the stage is set. The venue: London. The biggest clash of music industry titans will take place in our capital this summer – when rap rivals Drake and Kendrick Lamar arrive to address their on-going beef at their sell-out shows.
Fans will be waiting to see if Drake will use London as his stage to set the record straight with Kendrick, after they’ve have been waiting so long for his response to ‘diss track’ Not like Us.
An insider told South London Press: “Drake has a long history with London, and loves the crowd here. He’s no stranger to the Wireless Festival, and the fact he’s chosen it as the stage for his comeback, speaks volumes.
“He will certainly deliver his message loud and clear to his London fans. It is going to go off this summer. It’s tipped to be his best show yet.”
Just days after Kendrick announced his London dates with SZA, Drake shocked the world by announcing he’s headlining all three dates at Wireless this summer.
An insider continued: “This won’t be for the faint-hearted. Drake will have plenty to get off his chest regarding the Kendrick beef – and his stage at Wireless will be the place to do it.
“Fans are equally as excited about Kendrick coming to London after his iconic Super Bowl show. It will be a showstopper for all.”
For those who don’t know the history, Drake and Kendrick have been feuding for years, culminating in Kendrick’s track Not Like Us.
Kendrick broke records with his Super Bowl halftime show – where he performed Drake’s Not Like Us. He followed his now viral performance with the announcement he would be performing in London with SZA this summer.
Fresh from bagging five Grammys for the Not Like Us track, which is widely regarded as a Drake diss, Lamar didn’t hold back during his halftime performance at the big game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.
He called out Drake by name, referenced his lawsuit over the track, sported a suggestive necklace, all while including Serena Williams and SZA, both exes of Drake, in his act.
Now, it appears Drake will be celebrating a career high too. Just days after it was announced he will be headlining all three days at Rockstar Energy presents Wireless 2025 in London this summer, we can reveal Drake is now among the serious contenders to headline Glastonbury Festival this year, according to betideas.com.
The Canadian rapper has made no secret of his affinity for the UK music scene and is now just 2/1 to close any three nights on the Pyramid Stage in June, placing him third in the betting.
He would be following in the footsteps of legendary rapper Jay Z, who was the first huge rap star to grace the main (Pyramid) stage, despite huge objection from Oasis star Noel Gallagher who said in a BBC interview that Glastonbury had a history of ‘guitar music.’
Aside from Drake, Neil Young remains the market leader at 1/2 after reversing his decision to pull out over the New Year, while Olivia Rodrigo (4/6) and Sabrina Carpenter (11/4) make up the rest of the top four. Lee Astley, spokesman for betideas.com, said: “Drake’s history-making announcement that he will be headlining all three nights of Wireless with different setlists has seen him catapulted towards the top of the betting for who will appear
on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury this year.
“The legendary Canadian rapper is now 2/1 to headline any three nights at Worthy Farm in June, placing him behind only Neil Young (1/2) and Olivia Rodrigo (4/6) in the market.”
Fans who have been on the edge of their seats, waiting for Drake’s response to Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl half-time show–and now fans might not have to wait so long after all.
