Disco, soul and funk music legends to headline Boogietown Festival in September

The countdown is now on to one of the biggest disco, soul and funk weekends of the year.

Legends of the music industry including Earth Wind & Fire, Jocelyn Brown, Jazzie B, Groove Armada and many more are headlining
The Boogietown Festival this year as it returns to Apps Court Farm, Hurst Road in Walton on Thames on September 9 and 10.

Music spans across four stages, each with their own look and feel.

The main stage on Saturday will host artists including the internationally acclaimed R&B star, Billy Ocean along with one of the best selling bands of all time, the jazz, funk and soul group, Earth Wind & Fire.

The Disco Disco Stage will be headlined by house music hero, Armand Van Helden as well as the vocal and soulful sound of The Shapeshifters and many more.

Trevor Nelson’s Soul Notation stage is headed up by the soul pioneer himself with Lemar, followed by the Boogie Bus where DJ Spoony and others will bring a cross section of boogie, funk, soul.

On the Sunday the Craig Charles Funk & Soul stage is headed up by the BBC 6 Music host and finally to close the weekend another Boogie Bus welcomes the master of all things dub, funk and soul.

On top of the music there will be activities to keep mind, body and soul enriched from relaxation and wellness areas to a range of food options.

Apps Court Farm is just 35 minutes from London, tucked within a bend of the River Thames.

The site is filled with ancient woodland, green hills and hidden lakes, creating the lush site the festival is well known for.
